Beach Escapade

During the Christmas holidays, we headed to Cherating for some beach fun.

Hey! Let me out please.

Sigh! The sea was very choppy...

... as the monsoon season has arrived at the east coast.

So off I went to look for fun elsewhere.

Surveying the beach atop the makeshift table.

Whilst I was scavenging aimlessly nearby...

... I chanced upon this abandoned house...

... that has an eerie feeling to it.

Better keep my distance from the house...

... and back to the beach for some casual gallivanting.

Frolicking under the cloudy afternoon sun...

... and enjoying the salty sea breeze whilst waiting for some fun.

Marley came running by to play...

... and Marley gone nuts over groundnuts.

Madame Moiselle looking poise and elegant...

... but playful at the same time.

Hmmm... I sat wondering...

... how am I to play with this thing?

We had a Christmas barbecue by the beach...

... and the bonfire, all ready to be lit.

After dinner, we had the fire going...

... to light up the warm starry night.

We woke up early the next day but there was no sunrise due to the wee hours drizzle.

So we went for a nice leisure walk down the sandy beach.

*sniff! sniff!* Hey little crab... no bitey please.

While I was busy sniffing the mural painting...

... I saw a funny looking bird...

... flying gracefully up in the sky.

That's a wonderful holiday! You are wise to keep your distance from that abandoned house, it sure looks eerie. Hope to see more of your adventures in 2010.

Happy New Year, Hero and family!
I'm so glad to have you as a furiend and I'm sorry I haven't been able to come visit much. I've missed you. Now that our internet trouble is fixed you will be seeing me more often! I've just gotten caught up on your recent adventures and you have traveled quite a bit it seems.

Hi Hero & Hero's Kor Kor/Che Che,

While researching for a place to stay in cherating, I chanced upon your blog on one of your previous trip to Cherating.

We went to Ruby's Resort after reading your post in early Dec and absolutely love it there! Will definitely head back there when me and my mates are heading there to catch the surf again!
