Rainbow Bridge

Hero the Shar Pei
6th September 2006 - 14th September 2013

Tis evening on the moorland free,
The starlit wave is still:
Home is the sailor from the sea,
The hunter from the hill.

A.E. Houseman: XXII - R.L.S

Thank you for giving us seven amazing years. We will continue with our adventures when we meet again at the rainbow bridge one day. You are the best dog ever.

Love forever,
Koko, cheche and meimei

We are so very very sorry. Brings tears to our eyes. He'll surely be there at the rainbow bridge waiting for that one day when he will see you again. And he will come running very fast and leap into your arms. Be comforted that he is no more in pain. Thank you for sharing his stories and his wonderful journeys with us. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. *HUSG*

Koko, Cheche and Meimei,
I am so sad to hear this news. Hero was very special to me. I know that Twix welcomed him to the Rainbow Bridge and they are running and playing together now. On 9/24 it will be 2 years since we lost Twix, very strange that Hero left us so close to the same day. I understand your pain at this time but your memories of Hero will comfort you as time passes. I made a post in honor of Hero, I hope you don't mind.

Sending love and hugs to you all,
Teresa

Sending you all so much love and good thoughts.

I firmly believe that Bolo met him at the bridge and is showing him where the best place to watch over you is. Then he'll ask Hero to teach him how to swim.

He was well fed, well taken care of . . . with numerous hikes and wonderful adventures throughout his life. Best of all, he was surrounded by a loving family who appreciated and loved him very much.

Hero was such a great dog! I just wanted you to know that he crosses my mind still quite often. Some dogs just leave such a pawprint on our hearts. I always used to say he was Chloe's boyfriend. In the years since he died, I have also lost my husband. He went in the hospital last Dec for a procedure and never came home. Life is very fragile and you never know. I cherish each day I have with Chloe and the rest of my gang.
Hero's blog was the first blog I really 'got into' and made sure I came back to read about his adventures.
I hope your family is doing well. I'm sure the little one isn't quite so little anymore. Have you ever gotten another dog??
I am on Facebook, not sure you are? I'm under Libby Brummett Caldwell and there is a picture of Chloe as my profile picture. I would love to be friends if you guys are on there.
Hero---never to be forgotten
