I Get Award and Dessert

My furiend from the land down under, Teal'c, passed along the sunshine award to me recently. Thanks pal, you're the coolest dog in Sydney. Hope your mom will be back from Germany soon.

We get to go out for late supper? Some dessert you say?

Oh boy! It's my favorite fruity dessert... the thorny durian.

If you have not tasted durian before, well the flesh of the fruit has a rich custard feel to it and the taste, creamy and sweet...

... but the fruit has a distinctive odor like rotten cream-cheese.

Anthony Bourdain, the renowned author and chef, on durian... "Its taste can only be described as...indescribable, something you will either love or despise. ...Your breath will smell as if you'd been French-kissing your dead grandmother."...

... but nonetheless, he loves to eat durian too.

Durian is also known as King of Fruits.

Can you tell from my ecstatic look...

... that I love my durian.

Yummy... finger licking goodness.

Can I have one more pleeeaseee...!

Hi, Hero!
You ate durian!
I have heard about it and how some love it and some hate it!
And of course... you love it!
Kisses and hugs

Congratulations on your Award!

That fruit is a little frightening, and not just because of the giant spines!

Hi Hero,

I agree with Dennis...that fruit is scary looking...almost alien-like. I'm glad you enjoyed it. My mom has never heard of it and by the description I doubt if she will ever try it.
